I joined the Democratic Party of Wisconsin last month. I was an original volunteer recall

circulator and I've been a political activist since I was 15 (high school SDS chapter in Milwaukee)
I'm 62 and now a Wisconsin Democratic Party member sitting out the state Party convention while very focused on the John Doe investigations.

Some of the $$ stolen from the Milw. veterans group by Russell (about $20k iirc) came from a local Republican politician who ended up getting an Appellate Court appointment from Walker shortly after he took office.

Also there was the matter of some Republican politician having his re-election fund embezzled by the Walkerites (somewhere around $3k iirc). He complained about it & it was part of the felony charges against Russell (again iirc).

Was there some systematic money-laundering operation going on here whereby Republican pols & favor-seekers made contributions to an apparent charitable org., or otherwise let their campaign funds be embezzled, in return for various favors? Like, maybe the $3k guy didn't complain until after either he 1) didn't get what he wanted from the Walker Mafia or 2) wanted to detach himself from the building scandal by portraying himself as a victim rather than a player in their currupt little game?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Happy hunting.
