http://www.politico.com/story/2016/06/south-korea-republican-senators-223800#ixzz4ARnQw9JbJust as pressure is mounting on Republican elected officials to fall in line behind Trump, Sens. Joni Ernst of Iowa, Cory Gardner of Colorado and Dan Sullivan of Alaska are in South Korea undercutting Trump's bluster with assurances that the U.S. is not about to renege on trade agreements or demand its allies pay more to support American forces on Korean soil.
...
Gardner, the only one of the three senators on the four-country Asia tour who has yet to officially endorse Trump, also assured South Korea, one of the most important U.S. allies in the region, that America has no intention to renegotiate trade agreements, regardless of Trump's declarations that he will tear up the Trans-Pacific Partnership and negotiate a better deal for the U.S. as part of his "America first" foreign policy.

(13,141 posts)Checks & Balances system, possibly delete the Senate altogether except
for a few people he decides to keep. The ones who love him.
He'll then be able to proceed unconstrained to launch a nuclear war,
destroy the world economy, have all dark skinned people except beautiful
women killed, have all unnattrative people resettled in Siberia; claim all
the national parks for himself and build mansions with golf courses on
all of them for private residences. He'll make the Chinese pay for it.
And he's going to fire the little guy in North Korea, take away his rockets.

(14,255 posts)be changed, added to, or deleted from. He has enough GOP buddies and DINOs to push the TPP through right now, but evidently many are considering how the TPP looks to us inconsequential-except-for-votes-and-contributions voters.
They are not considering, not for an instant, whether the TPP will be bad for us, understand, but are considering how it may effect reelection.
Hillary traveled the world shilling for it, and called it the gold standard in her last book. Now she is trying to backtrack. I would imagine she is hoping Obama will push it through and sign it quickly, so she can panderingly criticize it. If she were president, she would sign it with a grin - Third Way triumph.
