Does having the manufacturing growth report coming out of the Institute for Supply Management versus the construction report coming out of the Commerce Dept have anything to do with it?

Isn't supply side economics one of the buzzwords for reaganomics? Ie, trickledown?

Somebody wouldn't be trying to fool us, would they?

That idea that if you build it, they will come doesn't seem to do much for me.

5. Complex things often strike people as confused.

The first time you try to follow the initial theme in a double fugue it's quite dizzying, and having the score in front of you (unless you've prepared it) only make life worse.

After a while you realize you need to follow the separate threads and that in rich polyphony you not only have a bunch of separate threads to follow but that the harmony emerges from how all the themes overlap, plus a few notes for support. It means you have to ignore passing tones and focus on the big picture. (Then some composers hint at the continuation of the theme because it's too hard for the performer to play all the notes. Yikes!)

Yet most think I - IV - V - V7 is as much complexity as the(ir) human brains can handle.

Look at the economic picture over time. If your time frame is the smallest unit of measurement, you're like the person dieting who panics each day his/her weight increases by an ounce and celebrates at every reduction in weight even by an ounce. But the amount of crap in the person's colon all by itself is larger than the loss or increase any given day and utterly masks the underlying weight gain or loss.

6. The growth could be from a bad start and the falling of construction could be counted out

... as part of the whole manufacturing number.

Means manufacturing is robust overall except in construction sector
