ORLANDO, Fla. — A 27-year-old man accused of groping six people at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park finally left in an Uber after taking refuge for more than seven hours in the lobby of the Orange County Jail.

Aman Bhatia, an Indian national, was released on bail after midnight Wednesday and briefly left the Orange County Jail, but when he was confronted by a Channel 9 reporter, he turned around and went back inside.

As reporters from other news organizations converged on the jail, Bhatia remained inside until just before 8 a.m., when he was finally picked up by an Uber driver.

“Did you touch those girls?” Channel 9 asked.

“Sorry. I’m not commenting,” he replied.

During his appearance in front of a judge Wednesday, he was banned from going to any water park.

Bhatia is accused of groping six people on Sunday, most of them girls younger than 16, in the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon, investigators said.

“You're at Disney. This is supposed to be the most fun place in the world, and you're supposed to be protected,” said visitor Tanya Bartone.

A woman told deputies that she was in the wave pool with her children on Sunday.

She said Bhatia ran his hands over her stomach and breasts, deputies said.

The woman said she glared at him and went to tell her husband.

The woman said she saw Bhatia position himself in front of a girl who appeared to be no older than 16. As the waves crashed, the teen began to yell, “Who grabbed my breasts?” deputies said.

Another teen told deputies that she was in the wave pool with her friends when Bhatia grabbed her buttocks.
