GOP Platform statement - It's Porn, not guns - - that's the danger

Republican delegates unanimously adopted an amendment to their draft platform Monday morning that called pornography “a public health crisis” and a “public menace” that is destroying lives.

“Pornography, with his harmful effects, especially on children, has become a public health crisis that is destroying the life of millions. We encourage states to continue to fight this public menace and pledge our commitment to children’s safety and well being,”

Don't you just love it, " pledge our commitment to children’s safety and well being,”

I could suggest another thing that is a crisis and a public menace that is destroying lives.

Probably the same people who are beside themselves with incoherent rage because their gay neighbors can get married or people a couple states over can buy weed legally.

They want someone to promise to get the nekkid people off the intertubes, too, but none of it is gonna happen.

To understand that they can get it for free instead of paying for it with a credit card.

Pretty much everybody looks at porn. As in, Red states, Blue states, Religious people, Atheists. If the GOP wants to run against it, great. Just reinforces how out of touch with reality they are.

And their attempts to censor what consenting adults can watch for their own enjoyment.

Like the so-called "progressives" who are okay with a Trump presidency, I think we can finally do away with the pretense that Dines can be called anything but the right winger she is.

Shit, even he eventually realized running against smut was a loser issue.

Anyway, yes, it's a cornerstone of freedom to be able to buy an AR-15 at walmart, but we mustn't be allowed to watch people having sex on the internet.

There's one state, Utah. Most states don't give a shit, or have even stronger free speech protections than the 1st Amendment (Yay Oregon!) or else they're stuck in some Scott Walker budget nightmare that leaves them unable to fix their roads or pay their teachers, much less fund an ill-conceived war on smut.
