They're locked in, here. If he ventures out of the country, there are various - shall we say freelancers - who would attempt a citizens arrest for war crimes. It's already been mentioned. Long ago, he canceled some speaking engagement or appearance in Europe, and an anti-bush activist gave notice that he was going to attempt that very thing.

He probably doesn't have much to do except to paint those lame paintings and drink. He left office, after all, with some really lousy poll numbers. Just the "brothers and shishtersh" utterance in his remarks today told me all I needed to know. Either that, or some really shitty-fitting dentures maybe?

Which is what I meant by 'wheedle'. I will always be convinced the only thing that kept Rove from a 3-pete by stealing Ohio, in 2008, was the big, big turn out that he didn't count on. And probably again, in 2012, in Pennsylvania.

And there clearly weren't any teleprompters. The man has been retired for 8 years, and thankfully he's stayed out of the public eye. but i'm still not going to over analyze everything he's doing on a stage somewhere. It's not worth my time or effort.
