Trump should have spent the vast majority of time on Pence but he didn't as an observer it seems to me that he either doesn't care about the decision or just weakly goes along with it with out any great enthusiasm

would have sat on Trump and guide him as to how to act at such an announcement. Guess I gave both the GOP and Trump more credit than was justified

keeps trying, but Trump will not be managed for more than five minutes. The fact that Trump had to pick a running mate probably annoyed the hell out of him. He doesn't want anyone to draw attention away from him.

His enormous ego won't allow him to give anyone else the spotlight.
It's his whole gig. His reason for living. It seems it's all he knows how to do.

He can't even properly attack his opponent because he has to make that all about himself, too. Many of his swipes at Mrs. Clinton are stunningly naked admissions about his own failings, projected onto her.

Trump lives in a world of one and everyone else are non-persons at best, or tools to be manipulated for his own personal gain. That is the life of a narcissist, especially the life of a narcissist in politics.
