FFS, so now concerns about polls and VP selection means someone is a troll?

I remember concerns about Obama/Romney debates in 2012, I guess they were trolls?

You can be 100% for Hillary and 100% against Trump and still be concerned without being a troll.

Jesus people, quit being so paranoid .

just the way it is around here anymore. Step out of line, BOOM! You get the hide hammer.

I remember when there were thinkers here. I remember essayists, good ones. Now, it's the DU way or the highway, chump.

If you want free and open discussion with all points of view welcomed, go to Discussionist. DU is a campaigning site dedicated to actively promoting a specific political position.

I can see merits either way, but don't kid yourself that DU used to be the former and has only recently become the latter.

...a sewer and makes a statement about it's creators that's not at all flattering. No thanks.

I'm not looking for a free-for-all and I actually want an echo chamber. I have no use for and neither am I the least bit interested in reich-wing garbage. What I do want is the DU that existed 10 years ago, not the intolerant and imposing feel this place has now.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, calling someone a concern troll is often a lame way of avoiding the responsibility to defend a weak OP.

So many of the great voices have left DU, ones who were unafraid of testing their values in the crucible of rhetoric, and strong enough to modify their opinion when that crucible revealed the weakness in their philosophy. I hope, once the election is over, the Thought Police will stand down.

If she wins, the thought police will be pushing DLC policies, dissent will not be tolerated.

If she loses, the thought police will scapegoat Bernie Bros and "fringe leftists" and claim the party must move further right.

Same folks tried this tactic in 2010 and got roundly laughed out of the forum. Facts once again beat their hyperbole.

OPs that are designed to mock people for expressing legitimate concerns diminish the sense of civility here. It's as if groups of posters think they own this place. They exhibit their mutual delight while they make fun of other Democrats. It's just another form of bullying in my opinion.

... is often a sign of a troll.

If you are worried about something, say so. But don't stop there. Make what you think are constructive suggestions for what Hillary should do to "improve" the situation.

Trolls don't usually like to do that ... because their suggested course of action usually gives them away.
