Today Trump's military advisor demanded-Ayatollah Khomeini, who died in 1989, condemn Nice attack

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, a military adviser to Donald Trump’s campaign who was briefly on the vice presidential short list, repeatedly called on a deceased Iranian leader to denounce the terrorist attack in Nice, France.

“I want the Imam, or I want Khomeini in Iran to stand up and be counted,” Flynn told Fox’s Megyn Kelly on Thursday night. Twelve hours later, Flynn again called on the late leader to respond to the attacks.

“I have called out for the leaders of Iran ― Khomeini ― and the leaders of the Muslim world” to denounce the terrorist attack, Flynn told “Fox & Friends” on Friday morning.

“I can tick them off if you want, there’s a bunch of countries with a bunch of so-called leaders,” said the former Defense Intelligence Agency director.

Similar sounding name. I'm pretty sure that's who Flynn was talking about. Trump is bad enough without straining at gnats.

Iran is Shiite and ISIS is Sunni.

By the way, Iran DID criticize the attack - http://www.tehrantimes.com/news/404318/Nice-attack-shows-terrorism-threatens-global-security-Iran-s as a simple google would find.

The writer made a dumb, lazy mistake. Trump's campaign is making a xenophobic appeal to bigotry, but they're not demanding a decades-dead man condemn the Nice attacks, as that writer claims.

Reagan loved Ayatollah Khomeini. The two no doubt looked deep into each others eyes like Bush and Putin and found a soul mate.

The majority of the convention attendees missed this one. But the "expert" speaking about it, passing judgment on it, possibly making recommendations on it needs to know what they are talking about.

People genuflect to our beloved star officers and think them smart and informed. Actually, there might not be a greater collection of educated idiots in our midst. Unbelievable what these generals and admirals come up with, especially when they go on TV as analysts or experts. Not surprised at all.

For those wondering, I am retired military and have had a front row seat to this bullshit for a few decades.
