Roger Ailes, the head of Fox News, will be fired from his post, New York magazine reports. Rupert Murdoch and sons Lachlan and James have reportedly decided to remove the infamous 76-year-old fixture after sexual harassment allegations arose about him. Former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson filed a suit against Ailes claiming that he harassed her over many years at the company. The company will either force Ailes to resign or fire him, sources told the magazine.

(12,673 posts)Ailes isn't the type to go quietly, no matter how guilty he is. His ego won't allow it.
When crooks fall out, all sorts of mayhem will be exposed.
C'mon Roger, spill the beans on Murdoch...

(47,567 posts)I didn't think sexual harassment could get someone fired at Fox. I kind of thought it was accepted behavior.

(47,567 posts)As long as it doesn't go public I suppose. Of course, it didn't end Bill O'Reilly's career. Maybe Ailes' time was up and this was a good excuse to get rid of him.
I can't even imagine what it must be like to work there.

(18,470 posts)Despite the fact that he did shit that would have gotten most normal people not only fired but imprisoned as well.

(19,107 posts)They're talking about waiting until next week to can him so it won't dominate the news cycle during the RNC, but I'd love to see him fired this week as a big F U to Trump.

(18,640 posts)It seems like an easy call to tell him to step down.
Fox can use some fresh leadership anyway before every show attracts the aging demographics of the "no spin zone".
