My take on the RNC Convention (day one)

Didnt think they would go the Homophobic route as much as they did.

Thought even for them, it was pretty disgusting.

Surprised at how the speakers, really really tried to get so so so angry,
like as rich conservatives, they have been hard done by.

Rudy was an embarrassment, that got quite scary, he didn't use to be
like that, did he???

The Z grade celebs were like cheap hookers.

But oh man, who would've thought that the wife of a candidate for
president, would plagiarize a speech from the current first lady.

All in all, my thoughts going in were wrong, I thought they would
try to appear and be mainstream.

But no, they have moved further to the right.

I mean how far can they go.

Surly they know, this wont win them an election.

How much hate do these people have in them?

What are the moderates in their party thinking right now?

You know, Im going to call it now, when Clinton wins in a landslide, the
GOP wont admit defeat, Trump will continue on that Hillary should be arrested
and he should be President.

As a prosecutor, I read that he was threatened with sanctions in a mafia trial because of his hyperbole and saying untrue things. But I haven't found any official sanction.

Rudi was and is his abnormal self.

They are TRUE believers when it comes to homophobic rant, Its THE thing they have in common. To bully those most vulnerable as a show of their own strength.

Disgusting and angry is how they demonstrate their "authenticity". They wear their victim-hood like a badge of rank.

Rudy who???????

Z-grade celebs = You get what you pay for?

Bullies steal the best and claim it was always theirs.

They cannot do mainstream because they are not mainstream. When they built and unleashed the Tea (HATE) Party monster they left mainstream far behind.

The fundamental energy of the right is Hatred and self-righteous anger. It's the only place they can go.

They believe they already have this election won and do not need help from anyone else. Their anger informs them that it MUST be so.

There are NO moderates remaining in the GOP at any level and Certainly none in leadership roles. I know how the moderates formerly known as republicans must feel.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it, if only because we have already seen it is still possible to put your foot in your mouth in today's tweeted politics. Hillary winning POTUS does NOT automatically overcome the gerrymandering and well funded RW election machine aimed at Congressional, State and local level offices. Nor does it redress or minimize the effect of voter disenfranchisement programs throughout the U.S.A.

The MSM stand to lose huge amounts of political advertising revenue if this election doesn't look as though it is close enough. They always want to appear to hold all the key insights themselves, as if people can not form opinions on their own. They will focus on nothing at all and give it the appearance of substance if only to sell more of themselves.

That greatly helped Bill Clinton. People like Pat Buchanan and Marilyn Quayle were as ugly as yesterday's speakers - going just from memory. Yet in 2004, they were, if anything, worse, but the media's thumb on the scale was such that no one called that hate fest what it was.

Melania's speech was far more grammatical than she has been. Yet she claimed in a prerecorded interview that she wrote it. Now, I can not believe they are not admitting that even if by error they plagerized.
