This election and the hatred of the left for everything the right did to denigrate, disrespect and disgrace President Obama for the last 8 years should be over before the votes west of the Mississippi are counted! We have an opportunity to show the right fanatics that they are dead! Let's come together and bury them and their hatred, racism, and ignorance once and for all! We need voters to understand the ticket and vote for each Senator, Governor and Rep that will flip the Congress and run them "sons of b**ches" back into the swamps . . . for good! I've been saying this for a long time. If Trump is President, even the most liberal/progressive dream President replace him their policies will be overturned by a Trump supreme court this isn't about the next four year it is about the next 20!

At this point in Obama's first run for POTUS I felt so keenly that electing him was a CHANCE for America to right our course after the depredations of BushCheney. I believe Obama has done his human best, despite the backlash from the RW/GOP.

This election cycle the RW has doubled down, and vomited forth Trump, with Cruz in the wings. After 8 years of Obama, who will go down in history as one of our great presidents, our nation's future still stands on the edge of a knife thanks to the RW.

I would love to have more of a reason to vote for someone, than voting against the alternative. Republicans may have a horrible option, but there are so many Democrats like me who aren't jumping for joy either. And we were holding on to her picking a VP that would inspire and excite us, and once we again, we were let down. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to sugarcoat how I feel, and I can't stand Trump.

You are exactly the type of voter we need to not only vote for Hillary, but work for Hillary.

I don't like the feeling that my vote is being taken for granted because the alternative is so much worse. Bernie came within inches of beating her in the primary. I almost was for Bernie myself if he had moderated a few of his positions. But I, and the millions of people who voted for Bernie deserved a VP pick that reflects the passions of our liberal base, and this feels like another one of her calculated political decisions to get more white men, that we have to shut-up and accept, because Trump is so much worse. And it kinda makes me sick to my stomach, because we deserve so much better. To the liberal wing of the democratic party, her slogan should be, "What the hell are you going to do, vote for Trump?" What she doesn't realize is that a lot of us have to hold our nose and vote for her, and now we have to accept this as well. And she wonders why people can't stand her.

Paid family leave - I don't have children myself, but I'm in my 40s and most of my friends are mothers several times over - I know so many women who struggled so hard to either find adequate childcare or scrape together enough pennies to stay just a few more weeks with their newborn babies. And these were middle class families! Imagine how the working poor have to do it.

Gun control - as a gun owner himself, Tim Kaine is a perfect surrogate for Hillary in her strong commitment to pass common sense gun laws. He took on the NRA in VA and won. He was governor for the VA Tech tragedy - he knows firsthand the devastation that can be caused with unregulated gun ownership. Hillary has been bold on this issue - she's risking votes, but she's obviously passionate about it.

Climate change - Hillary has a comprehensive plan to build a green energy infrastructure and create thousands of jobs at the same time. She lost votes in WVA by admitting coal is over and it's not coming back. She doesn't support fracking as so many of her naysayers say. She thinks it's the least bad option to get people to work and school and heat homes and clean clothes and cook dinner, until a better option gets built across what is an extremely large country.

Tuition-free college at public universities - a fantastic platform point that I'm really glad Bernie publicised.

Addiction - Hillary wants to improve treatment and prevention. She's willing to invest in this. This stops the pipeline of young men entering prisons (not to mention committing crimes!). As a psychologist, this is an issue very near and dear to me.

I could go on. I don't know if my words will have any impact on you. But my vote for Hillary is definitely not because "the other guy is so much worse" (Although he obviously is!). She inspires me.

In spite of everything, believe me, I really hope she wins.

...they'll obstruct her Supreme Court choices for the whole four years of her term. They won't care if the Court ends up with three members. The GOP is in full rule-or-ruin mode, and will remain that way. Of course, it goes without saying that they'll act similarly with her lower Federal court selections, as well. If this sounds crazy--well, is it any crazier than how they've already acted?

I am dues paying Teamster for the 19 years (wish it could of been the forty i have in my trade) and hope to get at least at least another ten. My father was also in a few unions including teamsters but his employment didn't pan out as he had hoped. I use my hands and mind to make a living and not some calculation of how much i skim off of the other guys production

Also it's not that i don't have hope but more of way of needing to look at things at their most basic level like the ones playing the game against us. The establishment put Kennedy out because he would not play their game, every president since has towed their line. It just looks really that simple to me, but then again i guess you can call it with a pejorative (because it doesn't agree with what they want you to think IMO)
