The biggest dog whistle many never hear: Law and Order

It goes back in history. It always sounds so good.

But what does it mean?

Lock up any and all "others" for any imagined offense and keep them locked up as long as possible.

Law and Order . . . . . Make America White Again.

Making and enforcing laws is an obligation of a civilized society. Administering, in a fair and blind manner, appropriate sanctions for running afoul of laws is proper.

As but one example of a law that is mostly fairly administered is speed limits.

As but two examples of racially biased laws and punishment, we have cocaine and crack. Cocaine was seen as a "white" drug and sentencing was often very lenient. Crack was seen as a black drug and sentencing was often harsh to the extreme. Laws surrounding crack were borne out of a "Law and Order" mindset. Such laws are wrong in the extreme.

If Trump boosted efforts to prosecute white collar crime, people like him would go to jail.

I'm quite sure he wants people who are not like him (white, rich) imprisoned.

Three strike laws - Huge prison populations - Executions - Cops becoming militarized

And all of the above affecting blacks in very heavy proportions.

What happens when we have all of the above and then a Trump comes along, promising to step that up? I don't even want to imagine what that means.

Everybody should find out about this. It's another example of him being blatantly racist; it should disqualify him.
