I now think he will be our next president. That populist message will resound with and excite the former middle class that has seen its economic safety disappear, while the democrats continue to bow and pander to Wall and big business.
Hillary better kick start her campaign. Cuz what she is doing ain't working.
Look, I absolutely mistrust teh Donald, but he just stole Sunday morning.

EPA. The coal mining industry is on life support. I just heard today another factory in the valley that processes steel is shutting down.
Don't worry we have this in the bag.

(60,339 posts)Asked one delegates why there was no videos of the cheering people as the towers fell and the moron simply responded with that was a different time.
Another was asked if it bothered them that Trump had 3 wives, the response was of course but we know what Hillary will be like and we dont with Trump so we will go with that.
I lost it!

(36,063 posts)The past 25 years have increasingly depended upon such rhetoric about us good them bad.
The past 48 hours have delivered more talk about a dem's (Kaine's) goodness than the previous 18 months.
The message most pushed by the dems has been to assert the opponent (Trump) is the worlds worst politician.
Issueless campagning works on the fans of both teams.

(3,286 posts)I have noticed that one does not even need an understanding of party values to proclaim their support. Jumping on a partisan bandwagon is enough, and easier than formulating an actual political philosophy.

You guys are right...and Trump loses big time. I come to DU for reassurance in that in this election I'm not simply being guided by my own political preference but common sense.

Also demographics, Trump cannot win with only the White Male vote.

To be poorly educated is not the same as stupid!
but he will likely win the white male vote.
Just as Bush, McCain and Romney did.
But that vote doesn't win elections.
And I have heard the ones who support him, whatever their education, they're willfully stupid.

Unfortunately for the GOP, there aren't enough of those around as there was in 2000.

(111,107 posts)I am scared to death of the American voters. Mostly because they are not informed or "mis-informed" about the candidates.
