With all due respect to the story du jour, a Presidential election has never been decided by who serves as the chair of the party.

in this case, President Barack Obama, was the de facto "head" of that party, although the chair obviously handled the day-to-day operations.

Donald Kaul's "Over the Coffee" column in the Des Moines Register pre-Gannett many election cycles ago.

Seems a good fit to me.

as in Bernie voters who now have "proof" there guy was never supposed to win. Those voters can decide an election and hopefully Bernie can help them rise above the fray and realize the stark choices.
