has anyone asked trump about putting his businesses/investments in a blind trust?

typically presidents put their money in a blind trust to avoid the appearance of any conflict of interest. you wouldn't want a president pushing legislation or leaning on regulators that would help one company or industry or another based on their own personal investment holdings.

with trump, this would be very difficult to achieve. even if he turned his businesses over to his kids, and even if he technically put everything in a "blind" trust, the reality is that he would know very well what kinds of government action (or inaction) he and his family would profit from.

in the nightmare scenario in which trump becomes president, he'd be a constant conflict of interest.

the politics of this campaign season is certainly unusual, but in any other election cycle, this would be a promising line of attack.

is a completely trustworthy and upstanding tax payer (whenever he has paid taxes).

Do you have some kind of an addiction to the truth? If so, Donald Trump and Donald Trump alone can save you. Believe me.

It would be kind of hard to put Trump Tower, other well known buildings and golf courses into a "blind" trust.

Most politicians don't have major assets tied to their family names. They have investment portfolios that can be totally liquidated and reinvested in a new, managed blind trust without a lot of difficulty. Not so easy for major real estate assets.

His children running the businesses will be the same as before. Trump is a real estate developer and will always do things that benefit the kinds of businesses he likes.

Yes, this should be a promising line of attack, but it seems to be getting as much (little) traction as the tax returns issue.

Trump doesn't seem to care much about tradition, or rules, for that matter.

and he calls his kids - his political advisors.

The only ones being blind here are his followers/supporters - that believe every word he says. These are the same people that would put their money into a Trump University or buy any of his foreign made Trump branded products.

They are no more than people that are enamored by celebrity. They are celebrity groupies. Those are the people that will be voting for Trump.
