Mayors of the 100 largest US cities.

67 Democrats, 27 Republicans, three independents, and three unknown affiliations. 80% of the US lives in cities. Just saying.

And those areas include suburbs -and- even a small amount of rural areas.

Typically in the US the difference between suburbs and urban areas isn't recognized and that makes these numbers quite misleading.
