I have found it very difficult to discuss Donald Trump with anyone. I think I was rather rude to my sister yesterday because she is thinking of voting for Trump. I felt bad about it.
I cannot understand how anyone could vote for such an obvious shithead, especially friends or relatives. It drives me mad.
I feel that he is dividing this nation in ways that we have never seen before. But their hate for Hillary is so great that it doesn't matter what he says or does, they still support him. Paul Ryan criticized him for saying racist stuff but said he would still support him. He might be a racist "but he's our racist" seems to be their attitude.
At this rate, this nation will be in a civil war by the time election day rolls around. There is simply no rational way to defend the insanity of Donald Trump. There is simply no way to communicate with anyone that supports him.
My only option seems to be to stop talking about the presidential race or to put these former friends into a virtual asylum and stop all communications with them. Donald Trump is dividing this nation along the very worst fault lines. I worry very much for our country.

People are only divided when they allow themselves to be divided.

(111,102 posts)I cannot seem to control my disgust for this person running for President and it is best that I not discuss politics with my family members. I am usually very much in control of my feelings and emotions but this guy, Trump, is like a threat to our country and I despise everything he stands for.

Trump just starts this shit and fox keeps at it.
