The Sikh man was praying for Mr and Mrs Khan

That just struck me; something you pick up on when you live in India.

There was a Sikh gentleman in the audience with a magnificent fuchsia turban. During Mr. Khan's speech, the camera cut to the Sikh gentleman a couple of times. Each time, he was fingering his mala (kind of like a rosary) and mouthing a prayer.

That really, really touched me. Back in India, a man named Khan and a man named Singh (that's the last name of about 90% of Sikhs) would not be on the same side of any political question, much less praying for one another.

Worth watching and re-watching. I'm amazed, just amazed at how many powerful speakers they had for this convention who are average Americans. It's been a real tour-de-force moving stories and views. And the feeling from the convention of unity and empathy has been so wonderfully evident. In this case, it was like the audience felt Mr. & Mrs. Khan were their neighbors, friends and kin.
