Zimmerman Fears for Wife's Safety After Mug Shot

George Zimmerman Fears for Wife's Safety After Mug Shot Publicized

George Zimmerman is worried about his wife's safety now that she has been arrested and her mug shot publicized, his lawyer told ABC News.

Zimmerman and his wife have both been in hiding since the neighborhood watch captain shot unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin Feb. 26 in Sanford, Fla.

Shellie Zimmerman, 25, was arrested this week on perjury charges for allegedly lying to the judge at an April 20 bond hearing about being destitute while her husband's online defense fund had $135,000 in it.

After her arrest, police released her mug shot, marking the first anyone has seen Mrs. Zimmerman who has been in hiding because of death threats against her and her family. Even when she testified at the bond hearing it was done by speaker phone because she wanted to protect her identity.

She can die her hair, cut it or just change the hair style in less than an hour and like you say, slap some glasses on. Or change her make-up.

Hell I always wear make-up and fix my hair pulled back so people are used to seeing me like that but when I don't most of those people don't recognize me even when I'm right in front of them. And it's not just that I look different. It's that most people aren't normally very observant.

get a hotel room where the party was being held at a deep discount. He even flew in employees stationed in other cities (and countries) for free. The first year I went to one of these, in a sequined gown, wearing about three times as much makeup as I normally would for work, my boss didn't recognize me. I paused to say hello to someone at the table where he was sitting and saw him visibly startle after I'd been speaking to the other person for about two minutes, as he suddenly put two and two together.

But outright humiliation is the only thing some of these right wing types understand. Too many of them really think that they will be saved by the right wing, because in Florida, they very often ARE. Zimmerman has already gotten better treatment than any fool that got caught with a nickelbag of weed would get. And maybe if Ms Zimmerman did not go on national TV trying to raise funds, she might not be called to account for said funds.

That being said, I bet a President Mitt Romney would pardon the Zimmermans.

42. 2 things
Thu Jun 14, 2012, 10:41 AM
Jun 2012

1. she looks to have lovely, classic bone structure with high cheekbones (which will also serve her well when she gets older and her face "falls off its bones" to quote a famous actress). However, her chubby cheeks are hiding that bone structure, which makes her less attractive than she could be. If her bone structure is as good as I think it is, her face could actually be movie-star or model beautiful.

2. plump is one thing; morbidly obese is another. It is unhealthy and unhealthy people (except for white people with tb, who get a peaches and cream complexion from what I understand) look less attractive than healthy people. That photo suggests she is morbidly obese.

So if she loses some of the extra weight, her underlying bone structure will enhance her looks. But she still needs to lose the hate in her eyes.

50. true. she still needs to lose the hate in her eyes, though
Thu Jun 14, 2012, 01:13 PM
Jun 2012

I am not obese, but am considered unattractive for other reasons. Men have had no problem telling me I am ugly, including my father.

My reasons for being unattractive could have been changed with plastic surgery, but I never had the money for that until about 10 years ago. By then, I figured "why bother?"

It didn't mean I don't have value and worth. (Although now that I'm over 50 and single, there are new reasons why society considers me to be without value or worth.)

I had a friend who was morbidly obese. If she had lost some of the excess weight, she may not have suffered as much as she did, either emotionally or physically. Years of having a hard time getting around, congestive heart failure and a triple by-pass seriously impacted her quality of life.

At my last job, a co-worker was morbidly obese. During the training period, they kept throwing candy bars at us all night, as "rewards" and to keep us awake. Once would have been funny, but night after night for a month was terrible. Adult acne and hypoglycemia for me. Pancreatitis for her....all the extra money she earned from the 2nd job was lost to a week in agony in the hospital.

Mug shots certainly do not enhance our appearance.

However, had she not thought she could outsmart the system and committed perjury while trying to commit fraud, she wouldn't have the mug shot circulating the internets.

And if she practiced a softer look, she might have a chance of garnering some sympathy. Poor wife is probably getting beaten up and terrified, and so on....

Instead, she looks like the one doling out the beatings, and hubbie is looking a little beaten down by comparison.

Years ago, I would be one of the "ugly skinny" people you mention. Now I'm more ugly plump.

And your bumper sticker supports my comments: she can do something about her weight. I would add that it would serve her health and her looks well to do so. As I wrote, she actually has quite lovely features with classic bone structure. If she loses some of the excess weight, that will accentuate the high cheekbones (as well as being healthier). I was quite sincere in that.

As far as my being ugly, when I was young and skinny I couldn't afford plastic surgery to save my life. During the brief period that I could have bought a nicer face, I was already in my late 40s. Too late to care. I'd been called ugly by enough men to not give a rat's ass any more.
