Just watched Elizabeth Warren on Matthews

I got the feeling he was goading her into being tougher. I feel as though he was trying to help her and put some fire in her belly. When he really pushed her hard she had her best argument. Am I alone in thinking Tweety is really hating the GOP right now and going out of the way to put some populism in Dems bellies?

I really enjoy Tweety now...He grew up very close to the

area in Philadelphia in which I grew up, and you can still

hear his Philly accent.

I live in Chicago now, but I still get "homesick" for it,

now and again.

She still needs some work IMO....... It should not be a close race for Teddy's seat....

Her 3 responses... little substance...
1. People are going to vote with their heart
2. The election is still 5 months away
3. I represent the working class

She struggled when he kept asking if Brown only represents the 1%, why is he getting 40%+ of the vote & are
Mass voters tired of "intellectual wine drinking liberals".... She should not struggle with responses to these questions...

ALL Dems do.

I agree with the fire in the belly comment from a previous poster. While watching her for the first time last night I was thinking "what does everyone at DU seein her?"

You did forget one of her responses, IamK.. something like, we're going to win the election by speaking to people one person at a time.

This isn't the time for this one person at a time horseshit. She needs forums, townhalls, commercials, and yes, she has to get mad and hammer that asshole Brown.

.. in watching all Dems anymore it seems like they're not even trying to win (Obama included) or do right by the country. This whole be nice, take the high road and play by the rules shit has got to go.

She's running the same way Hillary Clinton did in 2000. Small town, by small town.

My fear is that the Wall Street community is going to do a money dump so big that she could be crushed to death.

how that shitheel stripper Brown won his race.

And she's been running a lot of ads in MA--all of them positive. Also, she's a 61-year-old grandmother, not Ed Schultz. She's not going to scream at you.

She didn't struggle, she pointed out that Brown put out ads claiming (falsely) that he's tough on Wall Street. And she said that the election is five months away and she's working to get the truth out.

Here's the segment:

I believe a lot of things will occur to change the tune of what has been said more of less by everyone in this thread so far... "you have to fight fire with fire", or "you have to get pissed off at this asshole Brown"...

Getting pissed off hasn't worked very well, IMO, if you think about it. I wouldn't place Elizabeth Warren in the same category as Barack Obama. He's controlled by Wall Street and SHE isn't.

So, it really IS about us waking up, but not by listening to the talking heads or polling. That the talking heads and polling are being controlled by their overseers IS the problem the hustings don't get out as much as they did to the real polls.

This is a fight to wake the fuck up and we may just have to go through some hard lessons. If Barack Obama doesn't join in WITH Elizabeth Warren, he's not going to have a good ground game and all the organizing on the ground so far has turned a lot of people OFF who are being called and knocked and called and knocked... These would be the same people who need to be turned ON to someone WHO STANDS UP FOR THEM.

You can't advertise like a insurance commercial and win this election, or swift boat this election cycle, Koch this election's books, or pit us against our own best interests. I am waiting and talking to local people... same ones who you are...

I think this is why she has three answers to about 15 questions. Right now, they are the only answers people want.

We need to incentivize them to move back here. It's already starting to happen as China's labor costs rise.

Brown has started running ads targeting women voters, featuring his wife, a well-known former tv news reporter in the Boston area. She talks about how he used to get the kids ready for school while she had to be at work to cover the early news, how he understands women's issues, etc. I think he's worried that he's losing the women's vote to Warren.

Or the way she delivers it. We need many more people like her. I also like that President Obama doesn't allow people to control him either. He may get angry, but he sure doesn't do it in public. His critics will never get that satisfaction, and you can tell it makes them crazy.
