(28,795 posts)they have occasionally referred to his infirmity on the tv, and in print....Eugene robinson, just the other day, for one.
I dunno if they are really going to make an issue out of it, but it's SO fricking obvious.
here are three great ones....Cincinnati, Indiana, and his thank you speech at the Cleveland hyatt, the day after he accepted the nom:
trump kicks in at about 4:15.....skip pence intro
can't find any of this one without the ads....sorry, but it's well worth it.
these are SO good....just dip in anywhere and watch the stream of consciousness carry him away to new heights of madness
more ads, but these really ARE worth it, if you're drunk, high, whatever

(2,650 posts)When I see his face on TV, it's all I can do to not throw a brick at the TV.
Do not understand what people see in this P.O.S.
It seems as tho' he treats this campaign for President as a joke.............just like his republican predecessor bush jr.
Still shaking my head in amazement.

(28,795 posts)how palin like, but with a totally narcissistic twist, combined with the non-sequitur based rambling that was better than watching a session of somebody on a psychiatrist's couch
no better window to a man's shallow, vapid soul than this man's ravings.
I'm very sad that the media is so irresponsibly resistant to communicate the importance of his dysfunction
if they'd spend a tenth of the time as they have on Hillary's emails this week, the margin in the polls would be at least 20 points, and sinking irreversibly

(3 posts)it's not and it's scary as hell. The insecure man doth protest too much! How do you get through Wharton and LIFE speaking and writing with such disdain for the English language? VOTE, VOTE, VOTE! and then VOTE again for every school election and local election you possibly can. I am guilty of being part of the problem that helped to bring us to where we are today. No more.

(28,795 posts)mounting a SWIFTBOAT job with the comey/email bullshit?
they will NOT stop talking about it. every show, even on msnbc, has at least one segment on it. cnn is going crazy with it. they will brook NO explanations, either, superciliously cutting off any defense. the one who did the best job of summarizing why there were ZERO marked secret emails really got into it with david gergen, to the point at which he said gergen wasn't telling the truth (you should have seen that pompous jag's response....priceless). then they stopped the exchange.
I started a thread about that....will pull it up, if you haven't seen it. gave up on it, as the polls started to show the American people seem to have a segment that isn't Idiocracy-bound, apparently, but they are REALLY pushing this HARD, beyond all reason.....if trump sticks to the script (don't think he can, but who knows), it will be all the media needs to pick Hillary's bones over this, and whatever else they can dredge up. you know they will....they've been doing it for 25 years, and are not about to stop now. her 'dishonesty' is their meme. can't be much more ironically disgustingly hypocritical, can it? and trump would have to spend the rest of his life tweeting explanation of all his own lies, if he were forced to follow his 'discovery' that he got the wrong plane.

(362 posts)in Sun City Hilton Head and have neighbors who love Trump , can't discuss climate change, etc. They don't think they are racist, but sent very racist emails during Obama's first campaign ("it's not racist, it's just funny" . The most rabid are the men- typical old white guys. What's funny is that many were all able to retire here, buy a nice house, play golf due to pensions, Social Security and Medicare.

(28,795 posts)think something was racist.....
they had a segment on that with don lemon on cnn. Charles blow, who writes for the NYT, I think, just destroyed an ignoramus actor pal of eastwood, who embarrassingly, incoherently attempted to justify racist behavior in just the manner you described
this Blow guy was not having a word of it, and made him out as the poor old fool he has become. pretty sad, actually, except for the fact that pricks like him rule the world

VALLEY FORGE There were thousands of black men with names such as Nero Free and Cash Africa who served as soldiers in a racially integrated Continental Army during the American Revolution. Several hundred of these, under the command of Gen. George Washington, shared with other troops the hardships of the winter encampment of 1777-78 at Valley Forge.
``Our records indicate that there were about 755 black soldiers in a total of about 12,000 to 14,000 men,'' said Lee Boyle, historian at Valley Forge National Park.
There were no completely black companies in the 41 regiments that served at Valley Forge. Most of the black soldiers served in regiments from Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts. They were in combat roles in these units and were on duty in all areas of the camp, from standing guard at Washington's headquarters to manning positions in the outer defense lines. Black and white soldiers received the same pay, wore the same uniforms and shared the winter hardships of short rations and being sheltered in cold huts.
Thirteen black soldiers died during the encampment, Boyle said.
During the winter months of the camp, desertion among the troops was a serious problem, but the records indicate that there were very few desertions among the black soldiers.

(53,791 posts)I wonder why CNN even put the actor up there with those guys. He was near-incoherent and totally out of his depth.
Sorta like Eastwood is nowadays.
I used to like him in the spaghetti westerns and later movies.
It's sad when you find out that celebrities that you like reveal themselves to be racist ignoramuses (to be a racist you are by definition an ignoramus in my book). Their work becomes no longer watchable.
