All you ever need to know about Trump is contained in this quote:

"Look, having nuclear—my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart—you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I'm one of the smartest people anywhere in the world—it’s true!—but when you're a conservative Republican they try—oh, do they do a number—that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune—you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged—but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me—it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are (nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what's going to happen and he was right—who would have thought?), but when you look at what's going on with the four prisoners—now it used to be three, now it’s four—but when it was three and even now, I would have said it's all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don't, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years—but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us."

no better window to a man's shallow, vapid soul than this man's ravings.

I'm very sad that the media is so irresponsibly resistant to communicate the importance of his dysfunction

if they'd spend a tenth of the time as they have on Hillary's emails this week, the margin in the polls would be at least 20 points, and sinking irreversibly

mounting a SWIFTBOAT job with the comey/email bullshit?

they will NOT stop talking about it. every show, even on msnbc, has at least one segment on it. cnn is going crazy with it. they will brook NO explanations, either, superciliously cutting off any defense. the one who did the best job of summarizing why there were ZERO marked secret emails really got into it with david gergen, to the point at which he said gergen wasn't telling the truth (you should have seen that pompous jag's response....priceless). then they stopped the exchange.

I started a thread about that....will pull it up, if you haven't seen it. gave up on it, as the polls started to show the American people seem to have a segment that isn't Idiocracy-bound, apparently, but they are REALLY pushing this HARD, beyond all reason.....if trump sticks to the script (don't think he can, but who knows), it will be all the media needs to pick Hillary's bones over this, and whatever else they can dredge up. you know they will....they've been doing it for 25 years, and are not about to stop now. her 'dishonesty' is their meme. can't be much more ironically disgustingly hypocritical, can it? and trump would have to spend the rest of his life tweeting explanation of all his own lies, if he were forced to follow his 'discovery' that he got the wrong plane.

The Blacks Who Fought At Valley Forge Of 755 At The Winter Quarters, 13 Died. Desertion Was A Serious Problem, But Few Black Soldiers Deserted. Pay Was Equal For Blacks And Whites. Advancement In Rank Was Not.
By Joseph S. Kennedy, INQUIRER CORRESPONDENT
Posted: February 18, 1996

VALLEY FORGE — There were thousands of black men with names such as Nero Free and Cash Africa who served as soldiers in a racially integrated Continental Army during the American Revolution. Several hundred of these, under the command of Gen. George Washington, shared with other troops the hardships of the winter encampment of 1777-78 at Valley Forge.

``Our records indicate that there were about 755 black soldiers in a total of about 12,000 to 14,000 men,'' said Lee Boyle, historian at Valley Forge National Park.

There were no completely black companies in the 41 regiments that served at Valley Forge. Most of the black soldiers served in regiments from Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts. They were in combat roles in these units and were on duty in all areas of the camp, from standing guard at Washington's headquarters to manning positions in the outer defense lines. Black and white soldiers received the same pay, wore the same uniforms and shared the winter hardships of short rations and being sheltered in cold huts.

Thirteen black soldiers died during the encampment, Boyle said.

During the winter months of the camp, desertion among the troops was a serious problem, but the records indicate that there were very few desertions among the black soldiers.

Sorta like Eastwood is nowadays.
