Mayor Who Once Gave God a Key to the City Arrested for Allegedly Playing Strip Poker with a Minor

Less than a year ago, after the tragic shooting of a six-year-old girl in Stockton, California, Mayor Anthony Silva used the city’s resources to sponsor a prayer rally. He promoted the rally on the city’s website and Facebook page and even used city resources to host the event.

And to top it off, he gave God a “key to the city“:

This was the same mayor who “organized Town Hall meetings, co-sponsored by Christian organizations, at Calvary First Assembly of God and at Christian Life Center.” Mixing church and state was just what he did, consequences be damned.

Stockton Mayor Anthony Silva was arrested Thursday at his youth camp on charges that he played strip poker with a minor and provided youngsters with alcohol, according to authorities.

“In one of the video clips, it appeared that moments after the video began, the phone was set down, darkening the camera lens and thus only containing audio. That clip contains audio of a conversation between participants involved in a strip poker game that occurred in Silva’s bedroom,” prosecutors said in a statement. “The conversation between the participants indicated that they were naked.”

The only giveaway on his web site was an emphasis on law'n'order. Otherwise, his party affiliation was a deep, dark secret.

Show me a Republican who's always proving how pious he is and I'll show you someone who needs to be watched very carefully. Sexual freaks love to wrap themselves in the flag and hide behind the cross.

Claims he's innocent and that this is all typical Stocton dirty politics and that he has no intention of resigning. The guy gave me the creeps just listening to him and my guess is that this incident is the tip of the iceburg. Expect to see more revelations surface in the very near future.

They think if their public persona is squeaky clean no one will look behind the curtain. He was also involved in a Boys and Girls club for 8 years. Bet something went on there as well.
