(14,855 posts)It makes FOX News look fair and balanced!
They tried to make the "money for hostages" story seem totally legitimate the other night! That came from their so-called "news" segment!
I only watched a little of it because, like usual, all of the other cable news channels were on commercial break at the same time.
I'm tempted to contact my cable provider and ask that OAN be removed. It's absolute GARBAGE! If it ever "catches on," people will look back fondly to FOX News!

(14,855 posts)I looked up the Wikipedia article about them the other night. Wikipedia claimed they're only in 15 million homes at the moment.

(47,501 posts)I have Dish. I can't imagine that another right-wing TV station could be successful, unless Fox is getting too liberal for some of its viewers. That is entirely possible.

(14,855 posts)... it's essentially the "Trump network" right now.
I'd seen it a few times in the past too, and it was always terribly dishonest and pro-conservative. I really can't bear to watch it for very long.

(38,958 posts)if I watch anything at all, which isn't much. I have found that while biased, they do simple reporting of issues without a long line of blathering talking heads. Their anchors are generally rather young (and I assume paid less for their lack of experience and name recognition) and some of them sound like they are about 12, but I think OAN is better in many ways than a host of other options on cable.

(38,958 posts)but, avoid all the opinion shows on all of the networks. I am able to form my own, so I really don't need the input of CNN, Fox, OAN or MSNBC.

(34,136 posts)First they have every Fox channel, then they added One America News, then NewsMax (another right wing whack job pretending to be news) and just a couple of weeks ago they added TheBlaze (founded by Glenn Beck).
Since before I started subscribing to Prism TV I've been requesting Free Speech TV but they won't add that one single channel. Instead they dump every religious propaganda channel, every shopping channel, and all the sports channels as they come available.
One MAJOR problem is that there is absolutely no way for Prism subscribers to request changes in the channel line-up. None of their choices by phone or the chat on their service web site or their email get to the people that make those decisions.
It may be time for me to consider streaming more channels and eventually cut the cord. Though since Prism is owned by CenturyLink who is the only option for broadband where I am, I will still have to give the company money.
