I listened to that entire testimony and I could have sworn I heard him say those very words? Am I just imagining that?
The cable news networks, including MSNBC, are reporting to the contrary. And they are inquiring as to why she just doesn't come out and say she was lying? Why does she insist on keeping this story going and going?
I wonder if the loud mouths at FOX even watched the same hearing as I? I can understand that the email issue is just about all they have and they are loathe to give it up. However, from my perspective, they are much more dishonest and untrustworthy than Hillary Clinton. It is a fabricated issue by the Republicans, promoted by FOX News and CNN and MSNBC cable networks. They simply refuse to put it in context. As if the 22 million emails deleted by Karl Rove were meaningless?
But, I am almost certain I heard James Comey say that Hillary was truthful in her testimony to the FBI? Am I wrong?

They are either lazy or full of shit.

(34,661 posts)Chaffestz did his best to trap Comey into a negative statement. Comey in my opinion will be asked to resign his post if Hillary is elected. Comey and the Clinton's have a adversarial situation going back to Ken Starr and White Water. Chaffestz is trying to say Comey's ass.

"Did Hillary Clinton break the law?" Chaffetz asked.
"In connection with her use of the email server? My judgment is that she did not," Comey said.
Chaffetz then asked whether it was that he was just not able to prosecute it or that Clinton broke the law.
"Well, I don't want to give an overly lawyerly answer," Comey said. "The question I always look at is there evidence that would establish beyond a reasonable doubt that somebody engaged in conduct that violated a criminal statute, and my judgment here is there is not. "
