They've been clear from the get-go that DI was a place where people could say whatever they want, or a sort of DU3 on steroids with all the things that make DU DU, removed. It's a deliberate exercise in free expression.

It is what it is. I have no desire to go there anymore, but I also don't give a shit what people do over there. Frankly, I'd rather have them busy over there than constantly crashing and burning troll accounts over here, like many of them used to. But, YMMV of course.

I'm sick of racists too, and I hate how much racism is being 'mainstreamed' and 'normalized' in political discourse. I'm not naive enough to beleive it begins and ends with Trump's ascendency. That's more of a symptom than a cause.

However I am glad some websites don't tolerate it or tacitly promote it.

Back to when you could slam a president or a candidate for any office all you wanted with any vile, nasty hateful rhetoric, but family was a 'hands off' affair, even if the family was exposed and active in the campaign or day to day running of the office. But since 2000 or so, the office holders and candidates, their spouses, their children and even grandchildren are now held up to ridicule, hurtful, harmful comments, threats, internet bullying and picture photoshopping and posting. Makes you want to puke. All parties are equally guilty of it which is even sadder, there is no moral template to look up to anymore.
