Remember As Bad As Trump Is Rest Of GOP Field Is Just As Bad.

Would rather see Trump last at least until October. He should not be forced out too soon. Other GOP candidates would look mild by comparison. But in the end their policies are just as bad as they fully support the GOP platform. Want to see Trump totally screw the GOP and render it lifeless.

why do you think republican leaders are panicking?

their candidate being behind by a mere 10 points at most? that's happened in many elections, bush even beat dukakis after being down 17 points. in any event, they're panicking rather more than the prospect of simply losing one election.

no, they're panicking because trump threatens to unravel the whole charade. the careful, coded language that allows them and their base to pretend that they're not bigots while hinting at things and advancing policies that betray a very bigoted purpose.

best case scenario for the republicans is that they merely lose this election and trump is viewed as an anomaly. worse case, the whole republican party is branded as the party of bigotry.
