Is rolling coal and being a progressive mutually exclusive?

I just won a gift certificate from my local truck/speed shop towards an "emission modification" for my diesel truck. Don;t know if I should take advantage of this offer. Never really had the urge to roll coal, but it could increase the value of my truck?

And no, I do not have fake testicles hanging off the rear hitch of my truck.

I mean, you can flatten your tires with leftover nails and screws too but I don't know why you would, even though it's a free modification.

Now if you could replace your cats with straight pipe you'd at least get a horsepower advantage, but depending on your state's emission regs you might not be allowed to do so.

To be frank, it's more regressive than having testicles hanging from your truck. It actually hurts other people, rather than just offending them.

Rolling coal is exactly the opposite. Also, No, it won't increase the value of your truck. It will cost you more in fuel usage, if you use the modification, and will shorten the life of your engine.

Why on earth would you even ask this question? Really.

I live on a very busy street (wasn't always like this), but every single day there are about 3 morons who think it's cute to "roll coal" all the way down the street. They drive off to the horizon while everyone is left breathing the smog they left behind.

If your rolling coal, you might as well go all in and get the truck nuts.

It really is harder on your engine cylinder walls and will cause scoring of the walls. A guy in his early 20's might want the truck, but nobody else would want it. Hell, if you wanted to pull a boat or a camper, you'd get shit all over it.

It actually reduces the carbon emissions from your truck to remove the Diesel Particulate Filter. DPF ruins the efficiency, fuel economy and HP of your motor. Removing it adds a bit of particulate pollution while making the truck more efficient(AKA less CO2 emission).

Environmentalism is one of the pillars of progressivist thought, and coal rolling was popularized as a deliberate middle finger to environmentalists. It's a redneck way of saying "Fuck you, I'll pollute all I want." It reflects a low IQ, conservative mindset that thinks it's funny to pollute the environment, or worse, that rejects any notion that human caused pollution is a bad thing. I just saw a coal roller last week being driven by some piece of useless conservative trash with a bumper sticker that said "Just doing my part to support Global Warming!" That pretty much says it all, right there.

May as well ask whether you can still be a progressive if you dump your used motor oil in the ocean. It's deliberate and pointless pollution, and I wish a nasty case of lung cancer on everyone who does that shit.

Removing the diesel emissions equipment is great for performance and won't inherently cause the truck to put out giant clouds of black smoke. A little smoke is possible, but the giant clouds are put out when people intentionally run the engine on the rich side. This is done for no reason other than to leave a giant smoke trail behind you.

Removing the DPF increases particulate pollution and, in areas already suffering from bad air, can significantly worsen air quality. But that's not what I'm talking about.

I'm talking about the useless fuckheads that wire the bypasses onto their engines to run rich at the flip of a switch, so they can blow big clouds of black smoke to show off or to "crop dust" Priuses and anyone else they want to piss off on the road. These worthless idiots are EVERYWHERE here in the California Central Valley. Luckily, our local police pull them over and cite them whenever they see it.

it pollutes the air. The couple little sawed of punks I know that drive one are about 5' 5' and need a ladder to get in their truck and yes they have fake balls on their trailer hitch and between their sawed off little legs. They are very popular with Trump supporters.
