Greater when they smile?

Its really not about how they look.

Don't mean to make you feel bad - really just want you to think about this a bit - but when I was younger, strangers (usually males) would stop me and say "why don't you smile?" Was I really supposed to walk around with a beauty contestant smile on my face, just because they think I would be prettier that way (like I had potential, if only I would smile more). I smile when I have a reason to smile and love doing it, but I cant and wouldn't want to do it all the time.

Now that I am older, this doesn't happen much anymore. Guess I must have lost some of my "potential"
