So when exactly did Washington, Adams, etc. take an IQ test. (Binet was early 1900s.) Squinch Aug 2016 #2

His estimated IQ of 145 seems low if you contrast that to Bill Clinton and Jimmy carter who are in the 150+.
From what I have seen of President Obama, he is every bit as sharp as Clinton and Carter. He is extremely well spoken, can think on his feet and respond powerfully to questions during interview, etc..

I'm still not buying that Trump is even breaking 100.

"IQ", which, by the way, is a debatable way to measure intelligence, is a standardized test score. "Standardized" means that people who didn't take the actual test can't be scored.

in that it describes methodology used to determine the "scores" given.

That methodology is not well-aligned with standard IQs.

It is an interesting study, to be sure, but should not be presented as what it is not. The leadership performance measure is particularly intriguing; I'm not sure that it measured actual leadership ability, but then, there would have to be a standard agreement about what leadership ability IS.

That might be nit-picking; not a surprise since we use actual cognitive testing in my profession.

I'm an educator. We use standardized cognitive tests to determine eligibility for mandated federal programs.

Some of those used over the course of my career include:

Stanford–Binet Intelligence Scales
Woodcock–Johnson Tests of Cognitive Abilities
Raven's Progressive Matrices
Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale
Das–Naglieri cognitive assessment system

These give scores that can be correlated to a standard IQ.

Others give other kinds of scores that are useful, but don't have that correlation.

There are so many ways to recognize and talk about intelligence, and most are not about IQ, which is a good thing. A ranked score for intelligence, whether IQ or some other measure, is always going to be more limited, and in many cases, unnecessarily limiting, than what people can actually do with whatever they've got.

and when did the rest take an IQ test and make their scores part of the public record?

How were these "scores" determined?

Thanks but no thanks for the invite to read.
Clickbait to get to a site I'm pretty sure is not at all is progressive just to read a bit of Reader's Digest type fluffery.

It must have stressed the writers out quite a bit to break away
from Faux Snooze long enough to make their silly little replies.
One thing about Dumbya. He made stupid acceptable and now
RWers don't get embarrassed by showing their ignorance.
