and we'll be rid of the Republicans except as a local party short term. The conservatives who weren't in Trump's Chumps will come in to our party and try to drag it even more to the right. They might succeed.

However, another Hamiltonian party will soon arise.

This time, there's a real danger Trump could be elected. I think that danger is small, but it's real. It's not his appeal as a person or his appealing policies. It's the fact that he's likely to tear this country apart. That's attractive to all the people who have been left behind and left out of the "boom" over the last 40 years.

That's what the Democratic leadership needs to recognize, the desperation that is ready to accept complete disorder in order to reshuffle a stacked deck. If they don't, they might lose.

SHOULD be the last Republican president. After all, Dubya wasn't really elected (you can't be re-elected if you haven't been elected.)
