Who says America has lost the ability to innovate?

So long, Spork: The ‘chork’ chopstick-fork may be coming to Panda Express

Embrace the chork — the chopsticks-fork hybrid that’s the greatest utensil innovation since the spork wed spoons and forks. It can pluck a piece of chicken or scoop up a clump of rice, even if you’re all thumbs with the sticks.

Panda Express has hinted it might add the chork to its plasticware arsenal, which means we could soon be able to get our hands on this ingenious device anytime we’re in a mall or airport — and really craving some orange chicken.

...I remember when I had lunch with a bunch of Vietnamese officers. I was struggling to eat my huge bowl of rice with chopsticks. It was a long while before I finally looked around...and and saw that all of my companions were using silverware.

My roommate was very excited when an American advisor he'd had in Vietnam, Captain Lewis, was assigned to our post and my friend was invited to dinner at his advisor's home.

He told me beforehand that a major concern was that he didn't know his advisor's first name.

When my roommate returned home after the dinner, I asked him how it went. He told me it was great, and he even learned Captain Lewis' first name. My friend told me that he heard the captain's wife say it all the time: "Honey, Honey." I swear, that's a true story.

And I still remember NanceGreggs congratulating me on an early post milestone.

Many years ago, my girlfriend was severely reprimanded by her four-year-old daughter for saying the word “Stupid”. As her little girl pointed out, “Stupid” was a holy word, as it was the name of Christ’s spouse.

After many questions of her child, my girlfriend figured out where this notion had originated.

As people were leaving the parking lot after a church service my friend had attended with her daughter, a woman driver barely missed hitting a pedestrian as she attempted to back out of her parking space. As the husband of the woman driver got out of the car, the pedestrian who was almost run over shook his head and said, “Jesus, your wife is Stupid.”

It looks like I'll soon be congratulating you on yet another milestone.

One night there was a huge dinner between the Chinese students and the American students. And the American students were asking the Chinese students why they were using forks and knives instead of chopsticks and they said it was easier.

They should have gone with forksticks.

Innovator of small things. Not something that's going to save American manufacturing.
