Rudy Giuliani Claims There Were No Successful Terror Attacks Before Obama, Critics Remind Him About 9/11

“Before Obama came along, we didn’t have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attacks inside the United States. They all started when (Hillary) Clinton and Obama got into office,” Giuliani, 72, said at a Donald Trump campaign event in Ohio on Monday, August 15.

The Republican politician — who was mayor of New York from 1994 to 2001, including the day when two planes crashed into the Twin Towers and killed more than 3,000 — was heavily criticized on social media for his comment, which seemed as if he momentarily forgot about the largest terrorist attack on U.S. soil.

One tweeter wrote, “Disgusted that Rudy Giuliani is so anti-Obama that he is willing to dishonor the memory of those lost during 9/11. He of all people knows better.”

Others argued that the comment was taken out of context since Giuliani had referenced both the 1993 and 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center just seconds before making the apparent gaffe.

when the WTC was bombed killing six Americans by terrorists who came from Pakistan

Then 9/11 happened during Rudy's watch, in part, more people died because Rudy didn't do all the things recommended by the review of the 1993 attack. (something to do with the radios for example)

Selective memory. Like Trump, I think he's a lying pig.

He didn't count the 9/11 victims in the murder crime rate that year. If he had, there would have been a 26% rise in the murder rate.

The number of murders is listed as 609.
That doesn't include the 1102 people killed on 9/11.

Crime was worse under Guiliani than under any mayor in recent history. He undid all the policies of Mayors Koch and Dinkins and allowed the police to run rampant, all the while allowing over 3000 people to die in his city in one day.

The chart shows 649 for 2001. Am I misreading it?

That doesn't include the 1102 people killed on 9/11.
That seems a bit low. Wiki gives the figure as 2,606 in the WTC, plus 147 in the planes that struck the Towers.

I'm not disagreeing with your assertion that Giuliani fudged the numbers, but it seems that his deception is even greater?
