Maybe when this is all over, they'll finally be ready to abandon their fever-pitched insanity, and get to work reshaping their party into something like the GOP our parents and grandparents knew.

Republicans brought this on themselves by welcoming the hate vote into their party. I don't know if they are deserving of your kind thoughts.

They don't deserve your empathy. They wouldn't show you any.

I'm not as nice as you, cleveramerican. Let them rot in the street. The Republican Party represents nearly everything that is wrong in our country. I hope their leaders are experiencing agony as their fetid party comes apart.

From my point of view, their hatred is the cause of their demise. Their un-American attitudes are perfectly symbolized by the cockwomble they've nominated for president: obnoxious, self-serving, prevaricating, selfish, uneducated, incurious, rude, hateful and hurtful.

I hope Republican leaders, such as Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, are feeling agony as their political lives seep out of them, drip by drip, watching the results of their decades of unpatriotic efforts come to an end.

Generally, I don't write vulgarities but here I'll make an exception.

FUCK 'EM.
