The conspiratorial minds of right-wing Republicans...

They see conspiracies everywhere.

"If" Hillary was hacked by Russian saboteurs, then our national security "may have been" exposed?

She "could have been" working with countries that sponsor terrorism?

She "may have been" given huge sums of money in a "pay for play" transaction?

They do not operate with facts or evidence - only circumstantial evidence, and sometimes much less than that.

When analyzed with an open mind, their charges and accusations are deeper and more serious than those of our avowed enemies. They question everything our elected leaders and our institutions do as some sort of criminal activity or conspiracy to deceive the American people. They give our elected leaders no legitimacy at all.

Their only strategy is to question, to investigate, to indict, and to prosecute their political opponents. Although they would argue that the job of the opposing political Party is to oppose the Party in power, their job is not to tear down the process and institutions that hold our country together. In doing so, they do great harm to our democracy and should not be in the halls of Congress.
