Too much of my foot and not enough of him, but this is only one where you see his face straight on.
He's doing really well...the ticks are gone and he eats and plays a lot and then conks out. I did a brief introduction with him to the other cats earlier today which was very uneventful. Only two of the males took an interest and came and sniffed him and he sniffed right back, and then they ignored each other. Later when they get their evening wet food, I'll bring him back out and sit him down next to them all with his own bowl. Gradually, I'll let him stay out more and more but he'll be sleeping in the bathroom at night for a while until I'm sure he can hold his own. He loves to slide on the newspaper I put down there and then tear it up.

(81,261 posts)Sounded like you were doing all the right things, and that you're a seasoned pro in cat-savvy.
They're mighty sturdy, these itty-bitties. Guess they kinda have to be, to make it to adulthood and independent survival. As Jeff Goldblum's character in "Jurassic Park" marveled - "life finds a way."

They look like such helpless little balls of fluff. But MAN can they rule the roost, even at that minimal age and size (or lack thereof).
Our dowager empress kitty, who I think is 17 or maybe even 18 by now, was a teeny little reject that was dumped at the door of our vet. It happened very soon after we lost a kitten that had succumbed to a kitten-killer disease. And my husband was particularly bereft. A woman at the vet called us to speak to him because - since we'd just lost a kitten, they suddenly had a new foundling. Was he interested? YES. Was it too soon after our loss? NO! Would he like to come down and check it out? YES!!! She's REALLY little, way too young to be adopted yet, we think we better keep her for a week or two so she can build up some strength... still wanna see her? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
So he headed over to the vet. Saw the kitty. It was an instant mutual admiration society. The woman at the vet said - Meh - never mind the waiting period. Why don't you just take her now? I think she'll probably be okay.
And as I said, some 17 or 18 years later, she's old and creaky but STILL okay! Little classic tabby. They're called that when their stripe pattern forms a round bullseye on each of their two sides. That, as we read, is a "classic tabby." (Well, whaddya know?) Many different types of the tabby breed as we learned. Lots of striped ones! They're all wonderful, to me!

I think this little guy is going to be a dominant one...he has no fear, probably why I was able to pick him up.

(58,785 posts)Reminds me of our own shredded newspaper and leaves days. And the time my husband stepped out of bed and four tiny ones attacked his legs at once with their little needle claws. People can levitate! Lol.
Thanks, Joeybee.
Thank goodness his claws are still tiny.

I'm glad he's eating on his own, it makes life a lot easier for you. Once you run out of the KMR, he'll be ready to live on solid food.
Photographing kittens is a thankless job, usually all you get is a blur unless they're sleeping.

(112,168 posts)Okay, I'm joking. Fortunately, I won't be posting pictures of my bare feet with any of the three cats currently hanging around the apartment since I would scare everyone with all of the scars from the scratches I incurred.
Kudos to you for bringing in another rescue. The kitteh will soon learn the order of the furs from its cat-eye masters.
