Joy Reid shames pastor for Trump lies: ‘Even a pastor cannot make things up on this show’

http://www.rawstory.com/2016/08/joy-reid-shames-pastor-for-trump-lies-even-a-pastor-cannot-make-things-up-on-this-show/

MSNBC host Joy Reid was not having it Saturday morning when a black pastor, who appeared at the Republican National Convention in support of Donald Trump, attempted to defend lies the candidate has been using to generate votes in the black community....

But he went a step to far when he denied Trump had anything to do with encouraging the birther movement over President Barack Obama’s citizenship....

“The birtherism issue came out of Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2008,” Scott replied....

“Even a pastor cannot make things up on this show,” she cautioned.

Birther issue. These lies are delivered on FOX and they never correct the lies. Yes Joy does a good job of correcting their lies.

She's so right-on target-- all the time, and never shrinks away calling someone on a falsehood.

They both brought in round table discussions that included people I wanted to hear from, unlike the usual suspects on the Sunday shows...that is the same people who cheered on the Iraq War.

In his time slot. It's time we had journalists With backbones to challenge the liars propping up the Republican Party.

He claimed falsely claimed that Trump's family never engaged in housing discrimination and that the big banks never actually engaged in redlining.

Pastor my ass. Where is this guy's congregation located? He seems like another Jesse Lee Peterson type hack who gets paid to go on television and shit on other black people.

I heard of him some years back. I was not aware that he was part of the Trump campaign until just now. He had a radio show and he had a habit of making things up then including things in the bible by committing linguistic gymnastics with words that were in passages of the bible he didn't seem to like. He would say things like that don't really mean what you think it means get your concordance out. Of course if you did look it up you would find far more often than not it meant what you thought it did in the first place. He teaches self righteous works religion. Denies the protestant doctrine of eternal security. A position most evangelicals would consider heresy. I've also heard him deny the doctrine of total depravity not only something most protestant would consider heresy, but most catholics too. He is another health and wealth prosperity preacher fraud.

They pretty much agree with your assessment that this endorsement is about a chance to increase his personal fame and fortune, getting to ride around in the Trump private jet, etc.
