"Trump can't release his taxes because he is getting social security"

I overheard this a few weeks ago when I was in Washington, D.C..

Despite my attempts to see if I could prove it, I've come up blank... But this man has sued people for small amounts of money. Would he say no to a free check from the government? I mean, after all, he was taking the $300 tax refund in New York.

And though people earn their social security, Trump has been publicly calling on his friends and billionaires to return their social security or not take it. To quote Trump "I don't need it." But "I don't need it" is not the same as "I don't take it."

Anyone else heard anything about Trump getting SSI?

Almost anyone with a long enough work history is entitled to SS payments before age 70, even if they are still working. There are a very few exceptions, such as those who get benefits through the Massachusetts teacher retirement system.
This is not welfare, and is not based on current income. It is an earned benefit.

He says he does not need it.... But I could not see where he has said he doesn't actually take it.

4. I suspect the main secret is that he's not as rich as he claims.

Trump has a huge ego based on the lie that he's always successful. It's his brand, despite the obvious contradictions that exist.

There could be ties to Russia and other countries too, but I'd bet it's his income that he's mostly hiding.

I think he is broke, he needs constant credit to keep the grift going, he is getting in trouble because reputable banks won't give him that credit anymore, hence he is in deep with the russian mob. Financially he is a fucked up mess.

17. Yes, but you are telling your friends it is wrong to take it so they won't take it

And then taking it behind their backs?
