The organizers expected 50-100 people to show up.
There were close to 1000 - or more.
Great speakers, great signs - and 4 Trump morans that left in disgust when we formed a huge circle, held hands and sang America the Beautiful.
Organizers were supposed to lead a march around the Blaine House (AKA LePutin's spiderhole) but the Capitol Police said there way too many people to do that.
Had to leave before it was over (hungry kittehs).
One of the speakers said it was supposed to be broadcast live on Rachel Maddow - iz tru???

And LePage needs help.
It was not a vindictive rally - speakers included Dem. legislators, Quakers, Lutheran/Episcopal clergy, Maine native black activists - and one very wise Somali immigrant mom.
There was one dog fight - not bad .

(81,240 posts)What I keep wondering is - WHO THE HECK thought this jerk was fit to be governor???
Who votes for these assholes?
Who finds them acceptable to hold high office, and be the face of their state?
Who on earth regards this as okay?
Somebody needs to help me out with this.

(12,882 posts)But I can echo your incredulity. I tell myself - NO reliable research involved, mind you - that reasonable folks shy away from public service anymore. That leaves us with mutant detritus to choose from. This means the disheartened of us do just not care and don't go vote.

(111,255 posts)I can't find it today and I thought it was too good to be true. Now I see CNN and Huff Post have picked it up and I still think it's too good to be true. Apparently it was based on drunken (or rarely sober) tweeting.

He trial ballooned resignation - then took it back in a tweet.

(4,103 posts)He'll be free to campaign for his very good friend Donald Trump full time instead of just part time like he is now.
Does he have enough ex-wives to join Trump's the inner circle?
