I've run across my share of people who fall into a frothing state of apoplectic hatred if you even mention the word "immigrant" even here on DU.

And they're always like "I JUST WANT THE LAW RESPECTED!" It's great how that old 'rule of law' canard translated so seamlessly - from hosing blacks in the street to funneling Mexicans into desert deathtraps. How nice.
