but, be very careful which companies you sign up with. some of them treat their demo people shamefully.

you might want to check out costco, though. those are always fun.

up. It's nice that our Costco usually isn't too much of a madhouse.

Those sample booths are effective. There are a number of things I buy regularly that I first tried from the booths. The Tasos stuffed jalopena and garlic green olives are one. Those are an awesome snack. Big honkin' olives with a nice crunch and little bit of heat!

2. If you do it - avoid giving anything directly to kids - give it to thier parents for them.

I read a tragic story once where the "sample" lady gave a toddler something and he chocked on it and died.

You know the old saying about don't give them anything bigger than the tip of their baby finger but I wouldn't even do that, frankly.
