not be more opposite from one another. Obama is intelligent, thoughtful, dignified, caring and competent. Trump is beyond stupid, vulgar, obnoxious, selfish, egotistical and overall a worthless excuse of a human being. How low can we sink?

I never did understand what was going on with people who couldn't see what an exceptional person he is. Like, how can you look at a bright light and think it's darkness?

Wise people have always said that's typical, though. The people who live by anger and ignorance, deceit, scheming, and so forth will always work to destroy the good.

The President is taking a moment to remember all the sacrifices made by both sides
during the Battle of Midway. It is widely thought of as a turning point in the Pacific War.

in office.

They seldom cove the good that he does and when they do it is always accompanied by some detracting garbage.

Neither he nor the Clintons will ever get fair and honest coverage by the US media. And the testament to how mistreated they are by our media is how all three are viewed outside the US. They are admired and respected all over the world, even by our enemies...except for RW-Arryan folks across the globe who share the values of our KKK.

I wonder why there are none in these pictures.

Gooney birds are the breed of albatross native to Midway Atoll. According to all accounts, they are everywhere there.

They are very charismatic, and apparently unafraid of humans.

However, take offs and landings are a bit difficult for them. Landings are more or less crash landings and they need a rather long runway to get into the air. During WWII the navy sailors, mostly submariners, would often physically and gently help them take off. Apparently the Gooneys enjoyed it.

The old PanAm Hotel left over from the trans-Pacific PanAm Clipper days of the 1930's was renamed "Gooneyville Lodge" where the submarine crews would stay between patrols while their boats were repaired and resupplied.

Here:

Here's a song for Midway:

Beautiful, beautiful Midway,
Land where the gooneybirds grow,
Beautiful, beautiful Midway,
The goddamnedest place that I know.

Apparently best if sung horribly out of key.

Lost my voice for 3 days when it was announced he won and yeah, all the neighbors figured out what I was celebrating. My dad-in-law was living with us and a total Republican........... until Obama. He helped me put all the yard signs up - in a very conservative neighborhood.
