I'm not finding that she cannot sue Roger Ailes outside of the settlement with Fox.

(17,863 posts)Wouldn't her agreement with Fox have a non-disclosure clause? A filing would violate that.

(6,185 posts)Before they hand over a check the complainant has to sign a waiver that both attorneys worked on to assure that she waives the right to sue anyone involved for the same issue. Those waivers usually include the organization, any and all employees of the organization, including the management.
Plus, it usually also includes the equivalent of a "gag order" where the complainant can not publicly critique the settlement or the company for perpetuity in return for the settlement cash. If she violates the terms of the agreement, she has to give back the cash and possibly a penalty fee.

(34,661 posts)If you remember,there is Hannity,O'Riley,and others at Fake Noise that are at exposure. And Murdoch could be in the hot seat as a conspirator for not taking action to prevent a hostile work environment.

(1,907 posts)They would take care of and pay any law suites. So part of the settlement from what I understand covered Ailes from being sued separately.
