I had double pneumonia when I was in my twenties and healthy as a horse...

Both lungs. Knocked the crap out of me. I refused hospitalization because I had 3 young children to care for but I was too weak to get out of bed so a neighbor came over with some food. I did have cleaning help. But I couldn't manage the stairs in my house without resting on the way down to catch my breath. I didn't faint because I had stayed in bed during the worst of it.

If I had been knocked silly in my 20s I can only barely imagine what I would have done at age 68 (probably gotten carted off to the hospital).

I noticed Kellyanne snarked around HRC's recent episode on MJ today. I think she has the same mental illness as Trump. It is unbelievable how she spun this and is probably why Trump hired her as his spokesperson. Birds of a feather and all that.

I see nothing wrong with resting for two weeks until the first debate and having a strong October. That's all she needs to bring this home.

otherwise and I suspect that is one reason she was so incredibly able to keep on campaigning.

I'm sure she'll listen to her doctor and let her campaign aides pitch in double duty.

I got drugs on a Tuesday afternoon, and was well enough to go to work on Thursday. I mean I still felt like crap, but I was able to do minor things like breath, sleep and eat. I basically didn't do any of those from Friday to Wednesday night. On the plus side, I lost 20 lbs. On the minus side, I felt like I was dying for 5 days.

On the other hand, my first case of pneumonia was so mild I was taken out for lunch by my grandparents every day for the week of school I had to miss. Granted I was 9.

it sucks. I finally went the doctor and got antibiotics but it took several days to start feeling better. If I'd gone immediately it wouldn't have been so bad but being a person who thought I was bullet proof I waited almost too long.

I won't make that mistake again I'll tell you that

The bacterial version is far harder to overcome. The viral caused me to miss 1.5 days of work. The bacterial caused a week and i felt weak for 4 or 5 days beyond that.

I waited too long too. I am prone to bronchitis, so i figured i would just get to the quick care on the weekend. Should have gone on Tuesday, not Saturday. By then, it was pretty close to full blown.

But, i didn't have any long term effects, and that was 15 years ago or so.

I too felt over-heated, cuz you know, a 102 F fever will do that to ya. I got exhausted just standing for chem lab.

I couldn't really do my student work job...(cage-cleaning and floor mopping). Indeed it was while trying to swing a floor mop that work that my supervisor saw me and insisted I get to the dispensary to get help.

Based only on my own experience , I can't understand how, if people around Clinton knew she had pneumonia, they wouldn't protest her trying to do more than a very short face-time session at the ceremony.

"The Show Must Go On!" attitude really stalks the edge of the balance between being heroic, and a foolhardy submission to the unreasonable demands of producers of the shows. And, yes, people 'in the business' do buy into what they see as the demands of 'the business'. Which when you think about it, doesn't make it right, or an expression of great judgment.

I was quite thin back then, but nothing wrong with me other than that. I just stayed home from school for about a week. I took some sort of medication the doctor prescribed. I believe I had what some people refer to as walking pneumonia because I think it was mild. I mostly felt tired and annoyed that I was constantly coughing up phlegm. I still did all my homework while I was sick though.

I suppose it would be harder having it as an adult because you have so many more responsibilities. I have been pretty healthy as an adult, thankfully.

just overcome it if you push on. Then you get sicker.

I think I was in a way lucky to be knocked silly. No way can you get up and do stuff, any stuff. Then you stay in bed, take your medicine and through enforced rest you get better faster...

awful. I was down for a while. But when I got the flu it was worse. I ended up in the hospital with the flu but not the pneumonia. It depends on the person's system and the degree of each medical occurrence. She and her doctor know what she needs to handle this. I certainly see nothing that leads me to believe that this is a serious problem for her campaign.

Like Hillary I tried to keep up with my schedule. That was the real culprit. Could have healed faster had I rested sooner.
