But even if he releases those, his followers will think the media are after him and treating him unfairly. Not to mention most of them would not even understand a corporate tax form even if it shows 0 taxes at the bottom.

I have no freakin' clue. Allegedly bribing an AG to drop charges against his "University" and telling people that he could get away with shooting somebody, among other things is not. However, Hillary having been SOS when Benghazi happened, having used a private e-mail server while SOS wherein nothing illegal happened, and having some mysterious health ailments that nobody but the "Hillary Healthers" seem to somehow know about are plenty to disqualify her.

Trump could announce that he's both an atheist and the Anti-Christ and not lose an evangelical vote.

Here's why: They don't care what he believes or doesn't believe. If he gives them access to power and puts their principles into law and funnels tax dollars to them and to their churches, they'll give him a free pass.

Him ragging on John McCain and saying he wasn't a war hero. I couldn't believe when that didn't take him out. I'm no McCain fan, but I do respect that he served in the Navy. And give him credit for spending all that time in the Hanoi Hilton.

Him refusing to release his tax returns

The Trump University scandal, and trying to pay off Pam Bondi not to prosecute it.

At any rate, they've already demonstrated a willingness to destroy democracy in pursuit of self-enrichment.

We just have to keep working hard, phone bank, donate--even a little bit--and GOTV.

His appeal to his base is the very thing that repels others. He knows he needs to feed the base and the moment he weakens (no wall, racial unity, statesman behavior, etc.), he is doomed. He created the mud puddle he now jumps around in and there is no cleaning up the mess now.
