comments (that secret recording at a banquet where he mentioned the 1%'ers, not remembering his exact quote), Granholm pushed back that it is deplorable to be racist, it is deplorable to be homophobic, etc. She pushed back that it is an accurate thing to say. She didn't take the host trying to make it sound like a huge mistake. It wasn't a mistake, it was just an accurate statement.

That was the gist of what I heard, but I was in an out of the room a bit. I thought Granholm did very well, too.
