“Oh my goodness, Anderson.” Aggressively grilling a woman with pneumonia about her cough...

Peter Daou ?@peterdaou
Wow. @andersoncooper makes his bones as a reporter by aggressively grilling a woman with pneumonia about her cough. Unreal.

Hillary Clinton called into CNN last night and faced questioning from Anderson Cooper over her pneumonia diagnosis ...

Cooper:

“Your handling of this and your campaign’s — you know, their refusal to acknowledge what happened until really after that video was circulated confirm suspicions of some voters that you’re not transparent or trustworthy?”

Hillary:

“Oh my goodness, Anderson.”

“I think it’s fair to say, Anderson, that people know more about me than almost anyone in public life. They’ve got 40 years of my tax returns, tens of thousands of emails, a detailed medical letter report, all kinds of personal details. Compare everything you know about me with my opponent. I think it’s time he met the same level of disclosure that I have for years."

This is not journalism and he is not a journalist - he is "on-air talent." No more, maybe much less.

He has done nothing to educate us about what we really need to hear. What a crappy journalist, if you could call him that.

To me he's the least obnoxious of the "media" talent.

Hillary is made of steel. If she can't take Cooper's line of questions.. then she's going to lose the debate. Eventually, do you think Chris Wallace is going to be "fair"? She hasn't seen anything yet in regard to this and her "deplorable" remarks. That's all any station is garbling about today. It's all the Republican's can glee about this morning.

I don't think it 's any coincidence that Cooper was the first one to get a live statement from her. She knows what she's doing and she knows who she's being interviewed by. I trust Hillary and the "unfavorable" stuff is all ginned up. I am totally sure she knew exactly what would happen with that interview, and of course she was great..

I cannot believe the expectations that are placed on her compared to her opponent.
