All they ever do is talk up Trump.

As long as people stay glued to the tube and thinking they're being informed, that's going to continue.

The horse race/sensationalism/manipulation argument is far more realistic given the media's track record. If the media is stumping for Trump then why do they place a spotlight on law enforcement whenever a young black man is murdered? If they were all racist trump ideologues then they would ignore BLM and the tragedies that led to the movement


I disagree with the behavior of the media but I also recognize that as a culture we expect our news to match our personal and political beliefs. The vast majority of people obtain news via the internet. We go to websites that cater to our ideology and our news feeds produce content based upon our browsing/searching patterns.

This obviously influences our reaction to the presentation of news and current events from sources out of our control.

Just today, for instance, a giggly, agreeable conversation between Andrea Mitchell and Kellyann Conway. Mostly about Hillary's "coverup" of her pneumonia and how it feeds into her "untrustworthiness". How much would Trump have had to pay for something like that?
Not a word about Trumps taxes, his Trump Foundation charity scam, Trump University, or his adoration of Putin.
My political beliefs may not be in line with what is said, but I know bullshit when I see it. It's a big brown splotch on the ground and doesn't smell very good.
