Trump: ''Take her bodyguards' guns away. Let's see what happens to her!"

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2016/sep/16/donald-trump-barack-obama-birther-movement-election-live

this was just said, and commented upon at CNN.

in the context of his claiming that Hillary is intent on taking everybody's guns away.

he used the word bodyguard instead of SS, which was cited on TV

the bobbleheads were clearly taken aback, especially by the "Let's see what happens" remark.

this is old news, apparently. anybody heard about this before? seems pretty appalling. I never heard/saw/read this:

https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=trump+take+away+clinton%27s+bodyguards%27+guns

did he do this to take everybody's attention off the birther mess?

it's what he does, and it always works

so far, not much play on that word at CNN/MSNBC

might've missed it....clicking back and forth, but I saw most of a very heated discussion on CNN, in which Kayleigh and Boris once again, in a most vituperative, obnoxious, mendacious way, attempted to defend the indefensible

snip from the article>

Mere hours after he appeared to put one of the oldest criticisms of his presidential campaign to rest with the acknowledgment that President Barack Obama was born in the United States, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump told supporters that his opponent’s Secret Service detail should disarm itself due to what he characterized as her opposition to the Second Amendment.

“Take their guns away,” Trump said of Hillary Clinton, his Democratic opponent. “Let’s see what happens to her.”

he said almost the same thing

did you check that.....there's a list of links. here's one:

A day after Donald Trump told people at the National Rifle Association that Hillary Clinton would strip away their right to bear arms, the Republican seemed to suggest on social media that his opponent, who he thinks totes a hard line on gun control, should disarm her Secret Service team.

Donald Trump Praises Adviser Al Baldasaro Who Said Hillary Should Be Shot By Firing Squad

"Hillary Clinton should be put in the firing line and shot for treason."

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/al-baldasaro-donald-trump-hillary-clinton_us_578fa150e4b07c722ebd2fd1

... Trump didn’t distance himself from Baldarsaro. Rather, he praised him. Two days ago, Think Progress reported, “Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has confirmed that his adviser who once called for Hillary Clinton’s execution is still part of the campaign… ‘Al has been so great,’ Trump said. ‘Where’s Al? Where’s my vet?’”

Why should only some people have the right to have a gun for personal protection? I don't think he should be attacked for his opinion on gun rights. I share the unpopular opinion that we have the right to bear arms. The tongue in cheek nature of his remark is obvious.

As to what happened to this thread after the first post, unrelated stuff that I would not want to post about.
