(34,845 posts)Besides, Stone takes liberties with the facts. I despise documentaries that pretend they aren't. It's a lazy form of story-telling, picking something that already happened so you don't have to create your own story.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt who plays Snowden seems to be level headed. I don't think he would sign onto a total crap project. Remember this is not a documentary.
Snowden was a would be whistleblower no someone trying to make a buck by selling State secrets. The U.S. doesn't like whistleblowers. I'm curious to see how it comes off on film.

I really liked the movie. I haven't done a lot of indepth reading on it but plan to do so now.
